Ready to upgrade to our latest technology? Trade-in any previous generation HP Tuners interface, Standard or Pro, for the latest generation, MPVI4.

The “upgrade process” transfers all the vehicle licenses and credits from your old device to your new MPVI4 device. No additional credits are included or required, and there’s no need to purchase new licenses for vehicles you’ve already licensed.

Note: This is a trade-in program which means you will NOT receive your old device back. Instead, you will receive an MPVI4 with all your existing credits and vehicle licenses. This upgrade option does not include the PROLINK+ cable for trade-in Pro devices. However, you can add the PROLINK+ cable to your MPVI4 Interface Upgrade order here. Please note that PROLINK+ is NOT required to use MPVI4.

To purchase this upgrade, you MUST be logged into your HP Tuners account and your MPVI device MUST be registered under “My Devices”. Then, select the serial number of the device you want to upgrade in the dropdown above.

Once you have successfully purchased the upgrade service, please back up your old device. You can do this by opening VCM Editor and clicking HELP > RESYNC INTERFACE.

MPVI4 supports thousands of models for tuning from over 40+ manufacturers! You can check if your specific model is supported on the Vehicle Compatibility page.

Always check compatibility BEFORE purchasing MPVI4 to ensure your model is supported for tuning. 

There are a few select controllers that are NOT supported by MPVI4 yet, including Ford EEC-V, Mopar JTEC, JTEC+, JTEC+B, and NGC3. Please view the complete year/make/model list to confirm if your vehicle is not supported before purchasing MPVI4. If you have questions, please support via a ticket.

Please allow at least 3 business days for the transfer to be completed and for your new interface to be shipped back to you. Your old Interface will NOT be shipped back.

NOTE: Customers are responsible for shipping costs to and from HP Tuners. The shipping charge at checkout only covers shipping your new MPVI4 device to you. You can ship your old device to HP Tuners via any carrier you prefer.

• This upgrade is available for ALL previous generation devices, Pro and Standard, including MPVI, MPVI2, MPVI2+, and MPVI3.
• Vehicle licenses and credits will be transferred assuming the old device sent in for upgrading is fully functional and contains licenses and credits.
• If HP Tuners receives a non-functional device for upgrading, we are unable to transfer any vehicle licenses/credits that may be on the device.
• Please resync your old device before shipping it to HP Tuners for upgrading. You can do this by opening VCM Editor and clicking HELP > RESYNC INTERFACE.
• This is a trade-in service, so you will not receive your old interface back.
• PROLINK+ is NOT included with this MPVI4 Interface Upgrade. However, you can add the PROLINK+ cable to your MPVI4 Interface Upgrade order. Please note that PROLINK+ is not required to use MPVI4.
