HP Tuners offers multiple service options for supported GM vehicles equipped with the E90 or E93 engine control module (ECM). Depending on your needs, you may choose to upgrade your existing ECM or purchase a replacement ECM that has already been upgraded.

Once upgraded, supported ECMs can be accessed using HP Tuners software for diagnostics, data logging, and supported calibration changes when paired with a compatible interface.

E90 ECM (Non-Global B)

Upgrade your original ECM by sending it to HP Tuners for processing. Once upgraded, the ECM is returned ready for use with HP Tuners software.

• This is a send-in upgrade service
• Typical service time: up to 7 business days (excluding shipping)
• No relearns or reprogramming required if the ECM is reinstalled in the same vehicle
• Universal Credits are not included and must be purchased separately.

Purchase a brand-new ECM that has already been upgraded for use with HP Tuners. This option is ideal for minimizing vehicle downtime.

• VIN must be provided at checkout
• Installation instructions must be followed during installation

After upgrading or installing an upgraded ECM, the following are required:

• Compatible HP Tuners interface: MPVI2, MPVI2+, MPVI3, or MPVI4
• Latest version of VCM Suite
• Six (6) Universal Credits to license the ECM

Universal Credits are not included and must be purchased separately.

• ECMs with broken tabs will NOT be accepted for Upgrades.
• Your E93/E90 core must be fully functional with no physical or internal damage.
• Your modified E90/E93 ECM can only be tuned via the OBDII port with the latest version of VCM Suite and an MPVI2, MPVI2+, MPVI3, or MPVI4 interface.
• To tune your E90/E93 ECM, you must license the ECM for (6) Universal Credits (sold separately) and use the latest version of VCM Suite BETA.
• These services are for non-Global B controllers only.
• No other tuning or calibration tools can be used with the ECM (including dealer reflash tools).
• VCM Scanner, Dealer Diagnostic, and other diagnostic tools will continue to function normally.
• The latest version of VCM Suite can be used to return to stock calibration and/or update to the latest stock calibration.
• If you select the UPGRADE service, there is no need for an IMMO relearn, crank relearn, or the “Replace ECM” function on the stock ECM as long as the ECM returns to the same vehicle it came from.
• If you select the PURCHASE option, you must follow these installation steps once receiving your new ECM.
• Please allow up to 7 business days for the upgrade service and new ECM purchases (not including shipping times).
• Due to the placement of the ECM in the vehicle, all ECMs will exhibit some level of cosmetic wear & weathering, which is completely normal.
• The E93 ECM is also supported on Tune Delivery Network (TDN).

• Please allow up to 7 business days (not including shipping times) per PCM that you send in for the upgrade process to be completed.
• Any additional hardware ordered with this product will be shipped along with your controller. To avoid any delays on other products, please create a separate order for those items.

• These ECM/PCM/TCM services are completed at the owner’s risk. HP Tuners will not be responsible for the vehicle, its powertrain, or electronics, nor how the control module is used, calibrated, and its functionality.
• Due to the factory location of the controller in the vehicle, all ECM/PCM/TCMs will exhibit signs of weathering and wear, which is completely normal.
• When utilizing this service there is a possibility that the vehicle will need to be sent to the dealers to be re synced. Purchaser accepts all liability for this activity.
