Ben Hobsen (RTR)

Ben Hobson is a professional drift driver and rising force in Formula Drift, competing as part of the RTR Vehicles Drift Team. A self-described motorhead since birth, Ben’s passion for motorsports began on dirt bikes at just four years old, eventually leading him to compete in AMA motocross before discovering drifting in 2012.

Committed to chasing that new passion, Ben sold his Ford Mustang in 2014 to help fund his drift career. His breakthrough came in 2018, when he captured the Lonestar Drift Pro-Am Championship—earning a Formula Drift PROSPEC license and validating years of dedication behind the wheel. Over the next several seasons, Ben refined his skills, culminating in a dominant 2023 PROSPEC campaign with three pole positions, two wins, and the series championship.

That success earned Ben his Formula Drift PRO license and a seat on the RTR Vehicles Drift Team, where he now pilots the Pennzoil Ford Mustang RTR Spec 5-FD alongside Vaughn Gittin Jr. and James Deane.
